Love Is In The Air… But Which One?! The Disney Traditions Name Mystery ❤️

Just for fun

One of my favourite things about collecting Disney figurines is that there is always something new to discover.

You might think you know a collection inside out… and then Disney throws you a little curveball.

Today’s collector mystery?

“Love Is In The Air.”

Simple enough, right?

A beautiful romantic figurine, easy to identify, no confusion whatsoever…

Except there isn’t just one.

There isn’t even two!

There are (at least!) THREE Disney Traditions figurines called Love Is In The Air.

Because apparently Disney collectors didn’t already spend enough time hunting through photos, product codes and old listings trying to identify pieces. 🤣

So, let’s meet the three romantic troublemakers…

❤️ Love Is In The Air – Mickey & Minnie Mouse

Disney Traditions by Jim Shore – 4046038

First up, we have one of Disney’s most iconic couples — Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

This gorgeous piece celebrates the original Disney romance. Mickey and Minnie have been stealing hearts since the earliest days of Disney, so if anyone deserves a figurine called Love Is In The Air, it’s these two.

With Jim Shore’s signature folk-art styling, beautiful patterns and that nostalgic Disney charm, it’s exactly the sort of piece that makes collectors smile.

It’s sweet, classic and instantly recognisable.

Case closed?

Not quite…

❤️ Love Is In The Air – Flower & Miss Skunk

Next comes a completely different love story.

Same name.

Completely different characters.

This time Love Is In The Air belongs to Flower and Miss Skunk from Disney’s Bambi.

And honestly? It fits perfectly.

Flower might not be one of the first Disney characters people think of when they think romance, but fans of Bambi know this little skunk has one of the cutest love stories.

This piece is especially charming because it celebrates a slightly more unusual Disney couple. Mickey and Minnie figurines are everywhere, but Flower pieces are much harder to come across, which makes this one a lovely find for Bambi collectors.

❤️ Love Is In The Air – Mickey (Again!)

And here is where collectors everywhere collectively say…

“Wait… haven’t we already done Mickey?”

Yes.

Yes we have. 😂

Because the third Love Is In The Air brings Mickey  back again — but as a completely different figurine (AND in classic Mickey form - which I have a massive soft spot for!)

Same title.

Different design.

And this is exactly why Disney collecting can sometimes feel like detective work.

Why Product Numbers Matter 🔍

When you first start collecting, it’s natural to search by name.

But as your collection grows, you quickly discover a secret…

The product number is your best friend.

Names can be reused.

Characters can have multiple versions.

Descriptions online can vary wildly.

But those little item numbers? They tell the real story.

Searching for:

“Disney Traditions Love Is In The Air”

could lead you to several different pieces.

Searching for:

• 4046038
• 4049639
• 4056542

will get you much closer to finding the exact figurine you’re looking for.

The Joy (and Chaos!) of Disney Collecting

Personally, I actually love discoveries like this (I guess that's why I'm writing about it - I find it interesting - there are others out there....right?!  Please tell me there are others!!)

Yes, it can be confusing.

Yes, it means collectors sometimes need the skills of a detective.

And yes, you may occasionally find yourself at midnight comparing two almost identical Mickey Mouse listings wondering if you’re imagining things.

(We’ve all been there… right?)

But these little mysteries are part of what makes collecting so much fun.

Every figurine has a story — and sometimes, even the name has a story too.

So next time someone says they’re looking for Love Is In The Air, there’s only one question to ask…

“Which one?” ❤️✨
