I always enjoy Jim Shore’s Facebook Lives, but this one felt especially lovely. Warm, funny, packed with sneak peeks and full of those little moments that make you remember why collecting is about so much more than owning beautiful pieces.
Jim was joined by his daughter (and in Jim's words “major sidekick”) Robin, and honestly the dynamic between them is part of the magic. It never feels overly polished or corporate — it feels like being invited into the Shore family living room for an hour (at one point in the video they scan around the room and honestly - you have to see it to believe it!!)
Jim opened by sharing how excited he is about everything happening at the moment. As a proud American, he spoke about the upcoming celebrations around 250 years of American independence and shared that he is marking the occasion with special signed prints, with proceeds supporting the Tunnels to Tower Foundation. Prints can be purchased here
January and June Disney previews – and my wallet (and husband!!) immediately became nervous…
Robin walked us through upcoming launches and there was a huge variety on display — Beauty and the Beast, Princesses, Hercules, Harry Potter, seasonal pieces and more.
But.
Can we talk about Hercules?!
This may genuinely be one of my favourites of the entire preview.
The piece is designed around the shape of a traditional Greek urn, which becomes the backdrop for a detailed diorama scene. The artwork wraps beautifully around the structure while creating depth with a three-dimensional Hercules scene built into it.
My immediate thought?
I WANT THIS IN MY HOUSE.
It feels artistic rather than just collectible — one of those pieces that people would notice even if they didn’t know Disney (not that I invite those people to Casa Collectable Figurines!!).

Aladdin… floating straight onto my wish list
Next up was a hanging Aladdin piece featuring Aladdin and Jasmine suspended above Agrabah on the flying carpet.
And this one has details.
Jim pointed out that the turrets of the Sultan’s palace feature actual gold leaf accents — such a gorgeous touch!
Robin shared that she thinks this captures the best scene in the entire film.
Honestly?
I think I agree. Aaaaand now I'm signing 'A Whole New World"!
There is something so magical about that moment and this piece really seems to capture the movement and romance of it.
Another one added to the wish list…

Beauty and the Beast, Alice… and Snow White being accidentally dark
There was also a lovely new Mrs Potts and Chip piece (which looked absolutely adorable), plus a beautiful Alice in Wonderland design.
Jim then shared a new Snow White figurine and explained that it reminded him of some of his earlier work — decorative detail wrapping around the piece with lovely metallic elements.
At one point Jim and Robin joked about how happy Snow White looks holding her apple…
…although perhaps she won’t be smiling for long.
Dark, Jim.
Very dark.
Jokes aside — the piece looked stunning. And I want it. Obviously!
Harry Potter joins the party
Jim also previewed more from the Harry Potter collection and seemed especially taken with Dobby.
One thing I really loved hearing was Jim talking about his process — that when approaching licensed characters, his first priority is making sure the piece feels true to the character.
And honestly?
That philosophy shows.
Whatever the collection — Disney, Peanuts, Harry Potter — somehow it still feels unmistakably Jim Shore.
Meet Finn – the newest member of the Shore family
Possibly my favourite section.
Jim talked about his five-month-old puppy Finn and talked about how well obedience training is going.
You can tell Jim genuinely loves animals and that absolutely comes through in his work too.
He also previewed a Santa’s rescue sleigh featuring four dogs (which I believe are inspired by family pets).
Jim.
Please.
There are only so many things I can add to my wish list in one evening.
Garden collection – and a lovely full-circle moment
One of my favourite stories from the live was hearing Jim talk about his new garden collection.
Apparently birdhouses were actually among the very first things Jim ever presented to Enesco all those years ago.
That means this collection feels like a bit of a full-circle moment.
There are birdhouses, decorative garden pieces and even plant stakes.
And yes — the birdhouses are functional.
Would I personally be brave enough to put a Jim Shore piece outside?
Absolutely not.
But they are gorgeous.
Peanuts fans – your time has come
We all know Jim loves Peanuts.
Some of the new designs included a Snoopy tea party and Snoopy golfing — which Jim thinks could become a fan favourite.
And honestly… he might be right.
UPDATE ON THE MUSEUM! (THIS IS BIG.)
This was probably the section I was most excited about.
Jim shared that progress is moving nicely.
Demolition work is complete and they’ve been working closely with architects — which sounds exciting and complicated in equal measure.
One thing I absolutely loved hearing…
They’re cataloguing the collection and they don’t even know how many pieces there are yet.
Imagine that job.
I volunteer as tribute. Throw me a protien shake and a bag of McCoys once in a while - I'm cheap labour Jim!!
Jim described the vision as feeling like walking through a village with themed storefront experiences rather than a traditional museum.
That sounds incredible.
Robin also invited fans to help suggest Museum names.
Someone suggested “The Jim”.
As in:
“I’m going to the Jim.”
That is exactly the sort of gym membership I would actually use!!
Jim also mentioned people offering donations — including pieces he may not even own himself.
One lovely moment was when Jim showed a vintage musical Ariel piece and Robin shared that it had actually been in her daughter’s bedroom growing up.
And that’s exactly why collecting matters.
These pieces become memories.

Signing events and what’s coming next
Jim also spoke briefly about upcoming signing events later this year, with more details expected to follow.
If you’re a collector who has never done one before… they really do create such special keepsakes.
Watch this space!
That's a wrap!
The live wrapped up with one final appearance from Finn (who is apparently sleeping through the night — excellent work, Finn).
And honestly?
I really enjoyed this one.
It felt warm, inclusive and exciting.
That’s what I always love about Jim Shore — yes, the pieces are beautiful, but there’s also this sense of community around them.
Collectors aren’t just buying figurines.
We’re collecting stories.
And judging by this preview…
my shelves may have a problem very soon.
