How to Identify Fake Disney Figurines: A Collector’s Guide

Collectors Guides

Collectable Figurines is a UK-based specialist with access to rare, retired and hard-to-find figurines, shipping internationally to Australia. Browse the shop in AUD and check each listing for availability, condition and packaging details.

Start with the exact design

When checking a Disney figurine, identify its range, item number and named design before comparing photographs. Similar characters can appear in several releases. A different pose or finish does not by itself establish that a piece is counterfeit.

Review the evidence together

  • Ask for clear photographs of the front, back, underside and any packaging.
  • Compare the item number and design with manufacturer information where available.
  • Look closely at the stated condition and any disclosed repairs or missing parts.
  • Check whether the photographs show the item being sold or a stock example.
  • Ask the seller about anything that is unclear before paying.

A logo, box, low price or single photograph cannot settle authenticity on its own. If you remain unsure, seek further documentation or specialist advice before buying.

Buying a pre-loved piece

Keep authenticity questions separate from condition questions. Scratches, chips, repairs and missing packaging should be assessed against the listing. Save the description and photographs so you can refer to what was offered.

Compare our Disney Traditions and Disney Showcase listings, and ask us about any detail you would like to see more clearly.

Buying from Australia

Before ordering, check the exact item number, measurements, photographs and condition notes. Confirm whether the original box is included and whether any repairs are disclosed. A boxed listing and an unboxed listing may offer different things, even when the figurine design is the same.
