Released in 2009, Part of Your World is one of the most charming Ariel figurines ever produced within the Disney Traditions range.
Unlike a standard figurine, this piece combines Jim Shore's signature folk-art styling with a fully functioning musical box, making it both decorative and interactive. Ariel is beautifully sculpted emerging from swirling ocean waves, perched upon a rocky outcrop as though she's gazing longingly towards the human world.
The richly detailed base features Jim Shore's recognisable quilt-inspired patterns in soft sea greens, turquoise and lavender, perfectly complementing the underwater theme.

Design Details
One of my favourite aspects of this figurine is how it perfectly captures Ariel's personality.
Rather than portraying an action scene, Jim Shore chose to depict a quieter moment of wonder and curiosity. Ariel's upward gaze immediately brings to mind her fascination with the world above the sea and the dreams she sings about in Part of Your World.
The swirling waves create a wonderful sense of movement while the soft pastel colours give the entire piece a calming, almost storybook quality. This beautiful Ariel figurine displays effortlessly!
